Andrew Kanime serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Namibian Ports Authority (Namport), having assumed the role in November 2020.
A renowned business leader, Kanime holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), an Honours Degree in Accounting and Finance, and three undergraduate qualifications in the fields of Business Management, Human Resources and Public Administration.
Kanime has extensive corporate and leadership experience, harnessed over the years and spanning over key strategic economic sectors such as banking, telecommunications, broadcasting, energy, transport, maritime and logistics.
He currently serves as a non-executive Director on the MTC Board and previously served as, a non-executive Director for the Namibia Power Corporation (NamPower), the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), and Deputy Chairperson of the Namport Board of Directors.
He previously served also a member of the Namibian Labour Advisory Council, Chairperson of the NAPOTEL Pension Board of Trustees and an independent trustee for the Erongo Dependants Trust, among other extra-curricular roles.
