Director Communication and Stakeholder Relations
Mwanyengwa Ndapewoshali Shapwanale is multidisciplinary communications specialist, oil and gas executive currently serving as the Director for Communication and Stakeholder Relations at Reconnaissance Energy Namibia.
With a rich and diverse background spanning a decade, Mwanyengwa has a wealth of expertise in journalism and corporate communications. Her academic background is in law and communications with the University of Namibia and University of Cape Town, respectively.
In her capacity as a multidisciplinary communications practitioner, Ms. Shapwanale merges her extensive journalism experience with her finely honed communication skills and comprehensive approach to corporate communication and public relations strategies. This approach encompassing media relations, corporate affairs, stakeholder engagement, compliance, and ESG management, making her an invaluable asset to the WOGEN’s holistic communication strategy.
Currently, Ms. Shapwanale is further enhancing her expertise through pursuing qualifications in Compliance Management as well as ESG Management.
Mwanyengwa strongly believes in the meaningful participation of women in oil, gas and energy in Namibia. She further understands the important obligation to deliver and achieve for the future of women participating in the sector.
